England Information… Particularly in Bristol City
England, at first what I know about England are always about the Kings and the Queens. The boring monarch, British accent, rainy London and the Oxford for sure; since it is the rival of Harvard University in my homeland, United States of America.
However, I believe that I was so shortsighted at that time. I was to skeptical about England. Only London, the capital of England. Which tended to be the only city I knew in England. It is pretty ironic that I heard their soccer league is one of the best in the world. But me just like other Americans never like soccer, because it’s way too boring.
Anyway, I did not know what kind of Lucifer that has whispered in my ears. I was surprisingly inspired to brace myself. Finally I decided to continue my study in England. The country I did not really expect but I was like hypnotized to choose England.
Well, I believe that most of you must think that I decide to continue my study in London, the only city I know in England. However, I will make you surprise with what I am about to say. I continued my study in Bristol, specifically, Bristol University.
In England studying Religion and Theology at that time
Well, you must have it in mind that I waste my time by studying something wasteful and crappy. Some of you must think that what I was learning was a study for the man without future of luxurious life.
I was like you guys, I was always thinking that luxurious life was the ultimate goal of our life. Having life like Donald Trump was the goal of my life. Who does not love the luxurious life, when you can get everything in your life just by pointing at something you like.
Well, I should take study about economy then. Perhaps instead of the study about religion and theology. Now, I am gonna explain the benefit of what have I studied. I was thinking about having luxurious lif. I am now thinking about meaningful life.
How many of us who have luxurious life just like a king?
Is it meaningful? There are tons of us. I met couples of clerics, rabbi, priests, and monks, according to many perspective I heard. All I can say is that everything need balance; balance between spiritual and material. I will not forget about this world. I realize this world is too beautiful.
Well, it is just a brief explanation of what I have learned about in the study I took. Now, I am gonna tell you why Bristol should be one of your top priority; when you are about to choose the university in the world.
First, Bristol is a small city, the small city means less people live in it. Well, Bristol is only inhabited by 1 million of people, think about London which is inhabited by more than 15 million people, it means that 1:15. Less people can also means more concentration and focus and healthier mental. If you are about to study in England, do not forget to put Bristol on the list unless you love big city like London.
What else you need to know about Bristol City in England
Anyway, I felt nothing but nervousness about my first time in Bristol. I did not know about the people, the culture and sometime, I felt like I was not an English-native speaker there even though I came from United States but I felt like I was coming from Eastern Europe since some of my local friends thought that I was mumbling when speaking to them. It took a lot of time for me to understand each other like first time I got here and one of my friend asked me ‘what your name’ it sounds like ‘wot ur name’ and I heard only the word ‘name’, so I was thinking that ‘I am gonna be a dead meat here’ and it was true, but only for a moment. I need 6 months to understand what they say and to be understood by them.
Another thing that you should concern about Bristol is that it has one of the best university in England and also in the world. So, Bristol University allows you to interact with people around the world. Imagine that you live in the less inhabited city with international standard of education but more interaction with people all over the world. You can get it in London or Manchester but those cities are too crowded, here, in Bristol, you’ll be happier not listening people swearing in the street.
