Student Action for Refugees (STAR)

Bristol Student Action for Refugees, part of the STAR National network, campaigns with and for the rights of refugees, raises awareness on refugee issues and supports refugees and asylum seekers of all ages in the local community through volunteering.

We meet on a weekly basis to discuss campaigning, participate in workshops with various guests speakers, and watch and discuss films and documentaries on issues relating to refugees. We also organise fundraising nights and put of the Asylum Monologues.

We volunteerin in local schools with GCSE students and in primary schools as well as volunteering in a drop-in centre for asylum seekers.
